This makes his position as Head Brewer for Bull Durham nothing less than a dream job. Tate loves the process of tasting, researching, and experimenting with craft beer recipes. Tate pursued his passion for craft beer as a hobby while he taught elementary school for nine years.Īfter inadvertently impressing the owner of Bull Durham Beer with some of his homebrew, an offer of Head Brewer was too good to turn down. After that experience, his curiosity with beer was sparked. In college, he had the unique opportunity to tour the Guinness plant in Dublin, Ireland. While he, thankfully, didn’t develop his love for beer until later, Tate has always enjoyed helping people experience life to the fullest with food, sports, and friends. Despite that, I'll still be coming back since I know the food is always going to be consistently tasty.Tate grew up in Fayetteville, Georgia, a two-stoplight town in the outer suburbs of Atlanta. When you walk in, you're faced with a big buffet style table with various raw vegetables and meats.

This new Morrisville location was super clean, and the inside was almost identical to the Durham location. I appreciate the clean ingredient bar & nice customer service. I have only been to this location a few times for take-out since COVID-19 hit us. in Raleigh, although the some original owners still run the Durham location, it is too far for me. However, they've since changed this model and now price the food by weight: $6.50/lb if you get rice and $8.50/lb without rice. I have always been a fan of the original Bali Hai off Wake Forest Rd.

I'll admit, one of the fun things about going there was seeing how to strategically stack the food so you can get the most bang for your buck. I've been a long time fan of Bali Hai, first visiting their location in Durham back when it was priced per bowl instead of by weight. 1 review of Bali Hai 'I've been a long time fan of Bali Hai, first visiting their location in Durham back when it was priced per bowl instead of by weight.
